The salons of 17th and 18th century France were a centre of intellectual conversation. As well as a stage for lively debate, they were a place that brought curious people together to share and discuss contemporary ideas and interesting topics.
We're reviving that spirit with a modern twist!

Learning is overrated. Unlearning is underrated.
John Stoszkowski led this session on unlearning, with particular attention on the question of how it might transform you and your professional practice for the better.
We explore how the TV detective Colombo can help you bring a critical lens to your practice and give you some fresh ideas.
We draw on the wisdom of the German philosopher Martin Heidegger to explore how you can be more authentic in your choices and behaviours.

😀 Who delivers it?
Dr John Stoszkowski was a senior lecturer in sports coaching at the University of Central Lancashire from 2010-2021. Prior to that he was a coach development manager at The Professional Golfers’ Association.
John was awarded his PhD in 2015, which focuses on coach learning and the development of critical reflection. He has published over 30 research papers and is forever trying to improve his golf game.
